Natural Materials

An example of finding and using the inner fibers of Poplar bark as flammable tinder for blowing a bowdrill coal into flame.

A person might stand in the middle of the woods and not be aware that the warmth of a fire is there, or that the warmth and protection of a sub-freezing shelter is there.  If you use these natural materials, your awareness (and appreciation) of them grows quickly.    "Awareness is the key to survival."

***Below is an image of the woods. You can learn to see the materials for Fire and Shelter.
